When you reach the age that you realize that your Dad was smarter than you were at the age you thought you knew everything, then you have arrived!

I just kept quiet and waited until they had a problem, then suggested a solution. In short order, they were coming to me asking for more help. Be humble, be patient, and help them grow & learn. You had mentors when you were coming up too.
