my inner child is still strong on saturdays……i’ve got a collection of about 200 dvd’s of cartoons going back to Betty Boop, Popeye, and Casper. Like Red, i fix breakfast and veg out in front of the tv watching cartoon and reading the funnies in the paper.

How come a mouse can’t hit a cat with a mallet but a transforming robot can blow up a planet?

Who needs an electric blanket when you have a hot dog to keep you warm!!

(Even when they show the old ones, they censor them so they don’t make any sense. Can’t have the video game generation exposed to any violence, after all!)

Rover’s head on Red’s is very (or should I say “vewy”) cute!

All I know about opera, I learned from Bugs Bunny.

Our kids are missing a great education.

Now that’s the way I’d have loved to see my Saturday morning cartoons, when I was a kid. Now there aren’t any good cartoons on Saturday mornings, any more. How sad…

It isn’t funny how the violent games kids play are okay, but Bugs Bunny is censored. They look silly the way they have been cut up.

I started all my Saturdays with a bowl of cereal and Bugs Bunny. Learn classical music from Bugs and opera from Mighty Mouse.

Today’s kids are missing a cultural boon.

Well this strip goes back to the days when they were, for the most part, uncut and unedited. I’d hate to buy a DVD and find it was cut to ribbons.
