Somebody doesn’t have to like you, but when it’s the other way around, the story is entirely different.

I’m sure that people who have never read these early strips are AMAZED that both Violet and Patty liked Charlie Brown (at least at times), and Patty even put Charlie Brown in her hope chest for when she was going to get married. (Without even any air holes! But, you know, cartoon physics……..)

A girl has to know where she stands… and a man’s GOT to know his limitations.

We know where Patty stands—at the intersection of Disruption Boulevard and Annoyance Alley.

One thing I liked about the Peanuts Movie was they softened this Patty a bit, and her crush on Pig Pen was cute. That was a nice update. Violet always was the meaner of the two of them.

I thought she hated Charlie…
