Actually, I agree. Protesting has become too safe. It is now a trust-fund-baby hobby. It’s supposed to be a bit dangerous. What’s a little pepper spray and a water cannon or two? Protesters in the 50s and 60s got their heads cracked, were sprayed, hosed, tossed in hoosegow and got the odd dog bite. They were committed.

How can you be a revolutionary if you’re not willing to risk at least a little skin? If you run and hide at the first wave of a police baton, you’re not committed to your cause. Protesting today is a game for sissies.

The problem here, is the sense of entitlement and that even the protesters think that they are entitled to protest even at private events, from weddings of same-gender couples, to funerals of servicepeople who died in the recent wars, to even political rallies of candidates they hate.And when I see protesters going to these events to disrupt them, be they the anti-gay crowds and the Westboro Baptist Church doing their protests or the “Black Lives Matter” movement and perhaps the leftover protesters from the various “Occupy” movements back in the eary-2010s, I can’t help but think that the approach these movements take, regardless of their motivation for protest, is the same.All of these groups have undertaken to disrupt events and even hijack them for their own purpose and that political rallies, especially Donald Trumps and Bernie Sanders’ campaigns, might just start employing motorcycle gangs to help keep the peace at these events much in the same way they have been hired to keep the peace at funerals for servicepeople that died and the Westboro Baptist Church chose to picket and get their message across.And the problem here is that the event was not organized or paid for so that people with a sense of entitlement to protest can actually protest at these meetings, disrupt them and even hijack them to convert the event to serve their own purpose.And that mentality has to stop.

When something evil is happening, it is our responsibility to protest. Thank God for Black Lives Matter and the others, pointing out the hideousness of the Trump campaign.

I doubt Trump ever punched anything with those tiny hands. All bluster and bravado, then pays someone to do the actual punching.

Brilliant cartoon. Peaceful protests should be allowed. Disruptions should not be allowed at a private event though violence should not be condoned either. Those were not the good ole days.

Title 18, USC, Section 241 makes it criminal to intimidate anyone exercising their rights secured by the Constitution. Yet the Bernie Sanders and George Soros agitators continue to threaten Trump supporters. Ahhhh, liberals—so tolerant, so peaceful with ideas that can only persuade with violence.

That Donald is such a riot waiting to happen!!
