Lio has good luck with growing all kinds of things! Frisky day at the pool, but Dad (bless him!) is all cool with it.

I’m not sure that Dad is cool with it so much as (like Scotland Yard) frankly baffled. Then again, he IS used to Lio (as much as anybody can be………) I always love how happy Lio looks while he’s having his adventures (except when Eva is shooting him down, of course).

Lio is waving Dad in, but he’d better be quick about it. That sea-monkey on the right is biting the plastic pool! One monkey DOES stop the show, to misquote an old blues song.

Sea monkeys were my first experience with misleading advertisements. Followed soon after with X-ray glasses.

Liō had a lot more success with his sea monkeys than I ever did. When I go them, they just floated around like fish food. I was real disappointed that, unlike the advert, there wasn’t a little guy with a crown on his head either. Ripoff!!!

My cousin was obviously doing something wrong all those years ago. Her sea monkeys were never THAT much fun. Go Lio!

I believe they’re playing a pool game called “Swim trunks, swim trunks, who’s got the swim trunks?” ~~~~~~~~~~ See monkey, be monkey.

Brine shrimp came with a science/nature kit I got when I was a kid. They didn’t turn out that well: out of the dozens of hatchlings in each batch, I could only get one to survive to adulthood. I also raised a monarch caterpillar to adulthood with the kit and lots of milkweed. He emerged from his chrysalis just in time for the first frost of winter. Nothing like teaching children the harsh realities of nature.
