I have some favorite mis-matched socks… one sock is pale turquoise and the other kinda light orchid.

I actually have two pairs of them, cos they only came in two-packs.

Tell me about 2 days ago.You had a kid say that something ‘blows’.THAT’S what you think is appropriate? THAT belongs in a family paper? I’ll inform you. NO.No it doesn’t.I’m sure lots of kids and others too young, like yourself, don’t understand social mores. Rest assured. If I can,our local newspaper will at least put an apology in the paper. It would do well for YOU to put forth an apology. Lest YOU,or your readers think I’m a prude,I most certainly am not. I was a teenager in the 70s.On the other hand,THIS is a venue where adults can converse . YOUR decision to have a child character speak like this,BLOWS. I can’t wait to hear your response,as well as from my local paper,The Columbus Dispatch. Maybe you’re not aware that PRINT is fading out.

Wearing unmatched socks is big stuff in Grade 2. Worse fad . . . in high school we HAD to wear dog collars as ankle bracelets. Wait, what??

i was going to make the same comment about having two pairs of mismatched socks, but others beat me to it.However, I would like to recount an interesting coincidence here — just yesterday the LAS provider at my school commented that when giving a lesson on speaking before an audience one of the important things to do is to have your feet together — and as she modeled this to her students she noticed that she had mismatched shoes (they were close, and I doubt anyone would have noticed, but it was a classic moment.)

My daughters (both 17) nearly always wear mismatched socks on purpose. don’t know if other kids in their school do so too.
