The best cure for hiccups by far is to press your tongue against the roof of your mouth with the back of your tongue touching the soft palate and hold your tongue there for about thirty seconds. Hiccups gone every time.

The best hiccup cure I ever saw came from my dad. We were at Wendy’s and my sister started hiccuping. My dad said “one second, I can cure this”, picked up a plastic spoon, and hit her in the face with it. It startled the hiccups right out of her.
