For all the people that have an issue with the word irregardless as if it is not real, may I remind you, it is. There are lots of ridiculous words in the American language. It has lots of company in the “who on earth came up with this word” department.
While irregardless is highly disputed, it is recognized in the dictionary, citing it’s usage typically for informal writings/conversations. What I don’t understand is why people jumped on that word and ignored “nucular” all together.
