As far back as Ozy & Millie, I thought Dana might have the power to change comics… but even then, that meant breaking free of Schulz and Watterson, which was an absurd notion back when daily comics were trapped in grey newsprint.

This strip makes me think, “Wow. Let’s see.”

Very beautiful and imaginative strip today. It reminds of an old friend….When I was a child my mother was seriously ill for a number of years before her early death, so there was often sadness in our house. I used to escape via books and my own imagination. One friend was a white horse that would keep pace “airs above the ground” just outside our car as we were driving along. i never noticed a horn, but it does make me wonder….

In a way, Marigold should consider herself lucky, if this world was the only one with Unicorns, because that makes the species more unique, doesn’t it? On the other hand, wouldn’t that be just like Unicorns and Humans to imagine themselves so special as to think this world is the only world with life — and Unicorns? XD

BTW, love the third panel. So -… So -… I dunno how to describe it right now, … but so … THAT. _

A world without unicorns would be a shame.

Not to nitpick, but in panel 1 Phoebe is barefoot, and in #3 she is wearing sandals.
