My daughters are in a program where high school and college students teach college-bound middle school students for 6 weeks in the summer, all 3 middle-school summers. The MS students are chosen by their GPA, a 10-page application, 2-page essay, and interview. The college & HS students are ones who are going into the field of teaching. My girls love this program.
Very slanted look at the products being put out by our teachers colleges. Although watching games shows where high school teachers are contestants may make you think this could be accurate.
I had a blast doing my student teaching….they made sure we knew our “stuff” before we were ever let out among the “natives”….it was founded as a Teacher’s College…and we taught long before computers were available….
