The kind of surfing depicted here is called a floater (see, e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxZ2i22lxiY), where one rides the crest of the wave, but this is a transient maneuver only. In bona fide surfing one rides the faces of waves, not the crest. Westfinster Beach fantasyland! Having said that, Heathcliff adds another staff member!

As to Kitty Korner cat ‘Dude’. Our cats would hang on plastic porch screening, or door screening. Lots of holes & rips for birds to fly through.
