    He was wearing his helmet, goggles, and safety ‘chute; what more could Witherspoon ask?

    No adult supervision, though I sure some of the town was watching.

    Yeah? That’s nothing! I had to walk 12 miles uphill both ways barefoot in the snow in June!

    No, wait, cannonball and parachute *do* beat that…..

    Lio? I don’t suppose you have any books or homework in that back pack? Nah, didn’t think so.

    guitarmutt: Well he would have brought his homework, but the dog- er, SOMETHING ate it.

    And if he were truly unconcerned with safety, he would have worn the rocket pack.

    Lessee..remembered to wear a helmet & goggles, used a parachute, landed safely & put chute away so others won’t trip over it……

    A+ for Lio!

    Is Lio DEMONSTRATING safety to the rest of the school? Or merely taking the scenic route to get there?

    @guitarmutt, @dyankee23 - Given that’s it’s Lio, I think it’s far more likely that his homework ate the dog…

    “I don’t have my homework today because I don’t know where it landed.”

    Let’s see someone else try that excuse.

    He was a very safe human cannonball. He walked away from it with nothing but helmet hair.

    Shadowcrawler7, don’t harp on the “adult supervision” thing – I’ve seen dozens, if not hundreds, of adults who would benefit substantially from the supervision of an eight-year-old.
