ISIS certainly are active in killing people. But they have not focused on a particular group, other than “anybody else”. Although terrible, this really does not qualify as genocide. Note that Islamic people are about equally victims and perpetrators.
Shock and awe only lead to the deaths of 300,000 to estimates of over a million “innocents” killed.
WE don’t have just “Islamophobia”, but in all counts the ultimate statement of xenophobia. Fear every race, every cop, every “other” religion, every bite of food that might have Salmonella, cars, planes, trains, dogs, bears, cougars, FEAR is the driving force in “the home of the brave”. It’s friggin’ embarassing beyond belief, hypocrisy too boot.
Neatslob, et al.: Hitler and the Mufti of Jerusalem met during WW2 to discuss cooperation on the Jewish problem. Read the history. Book: The Swastika and the Crescent by David Motadel.
@Churchhillwasright Who’s doubting there were Muslims in the German forces during WW-II? Many Muslims from the Balkans enlisted in ther thousands. The Nazis also had to back-pedal a few times in the mid-30s to not insult the Turks too much, along with Egyptians and Iranians (and especially during the ‘40s when they were in North Africa). (you know, ’non-Aryans’, ahem, ignoring completely what it is to be Aryan, really). The Germans discovered they could use the animosity felt by many Arabs under the yoke of the French & British empires. It is therefore a stretch, as Tim Gilley attempts by cherry picking through Motadel’s work, to implicate Muslims as being involved in the Holocaust.Christians were involved in it wholesale, not Muslims.
The common people. Muslim, Catholic, Christian and none of the above are the tools used by the powerful to get more money, land, power or whatever they are after at the moment. Educated and powerful people use the illiterate masses as weapons of war. Those are the people who do the actual fighting and dying for those who can buy their way out of it, We never seem to learn that lesson. That’s why they strive to keep the masses either uninformed or propagandized into believing “The Other” is a demon and must be destroyed.
What the masses need to learn is we all bleed red for their greed.
Over the course of history more people have been killed by non-religious leaders(Mao, Stalin, Pot, Hitler, Lenin, etc) than religious leaders. The truth sounds like hate to some people.
The history that most people are vaguely familiar with is mostly limited to the 20th century. The reality is humans have been a brutal lot since the beginning of history. The brutality is the same across history-the players change.
“…you should also recognize that those who don’t identify with your definition of Islam, are not true Muslims.” What you say is correct, but not my definition. Words and actions straight from Mohammad. Take it up with him. A truly devout Muslim is a dangerous person when they follow his perfect example. In Islam, Mohammad is considered the perfect example. See Quran, Hadiths, bloody history.

The relationship between Palestinian Arabs and the Nazis is common historical knowledge. If you’re not aware of it, it is very easy to research.

The words of Mohammad in the Quran and Hadiths are plainly written. Murdering infidels is part and parcel of his religion.
