Petey: But- Alice: BUBSEY, LET'S TAKE THE CHILDREN OUT FOR ICE CREAM! WATCH OUT FOR VOLCANOS! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! Petey: But. Alice: THIS VOLCANO IS FULL OF BUBBLE BATH! BOOM BOOM BOOM! Alice: STOP THROWING SOFA CUSHIONS, YOU CHILDREN, OR I'LL HAVE YOU ARRESTED! THE CHILDREN FELL INTO THIER ICE CREAM! LET'S TAKE A BATH IN THE VOLCANO! KABOOM! Petey: GAH! Petey: I don't know how to prattle. Mom: Hang around Alice. She'll give you pointers.

You’ve gotta love Alice, she is such a handful. She commands whatever space she occupies. Totally uninhibited stream-of-consciousness prattling. Petey is incapable of giving in and abandoning himself to whimsy. It would be like letting different foods touch.
