I wallowed in his books years ago in college. I think too much Nietzsche gives one mental caries. For kicks, to shake off like a wet dog such overwrought writing, I re-write serious business reports into parodies as written by famous authors. Then I email them to similarly warped friends in the company (one day I will accidentally press COPY ALL and get in trouble). .Nietzsche’s writings are ripe for parody, nicht wahr? I picture something like this blurb on the cover of the Nietzschean-themed murder mystery, A FINE DAY FOR DEICIDE:.FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE – what did those walrus bristles hide? The dripping fangs by which he savaged God? And what a revenge the dying deity inflicted in his death throes – FRENCH DISEASES OF THE SOUL and resulting MADNESS. Gods have a wicked sense of humor. Mad they are themselves — but AN IMMORTAL, GOLDEN MADNESS!
