Homemakers work as well, especially once the kids are in school and there’s no plan for anymore.

Too bad, with every job title a housewife takes on that would be a huge 401k.

France tried to offer salaries to mothers to get them to be SAHMs until the kids are old enough for nursery school (age 3). But considering overtime-allthetime, no weekends or holidays off, carrying heavy weights (shopping, kids etc) and handling chemicals (cleaning), they discovered that they’d have to be paid like executives.

And then they say homemakers have it easy??

Remember the glory days of hanging clean laundry to dry on clotheslines?

should hang socks by the toes,they dry faster and don’t stretch.

My dryer went out yesterday so I’ll be breaking out the ol’ clothesline today. Never heard of that trick of hanging socks by their toes, but I’ll try it.

I’ve heard there are neighbourhoods in the US where the authorities won’t let you hang out your wash in your own backyard. On a property you actually own! The mind boggles. Here, we hang it out in the airspace. As I live on the 3rd floor, it took some getting used to, hanging my wash out the window!

I had to read panel 3 twice, at first I thought it said, “How’s that for a suck job.”
