    We used to have one also, but I preferred the more traditional green artificial Christmas tree, which we also had.

    My husband speaks of great fondness of the white aluminum tree with the rotating base and the color-changing wheel that lit up the tree from below that his family had when he was a young boy! Sounds rather cheesy to me, but I grew up in a family that only had traditional green pine trees as Christmas trees!

    I remember selling these things in our store many years ago, along with the three color lighted rotating wheel. It was the thing to do in the early to mid sixties. Oh, and let’s not forget the white flocking attachment kit for the vacuum cleaner; well, for a vacuum that could be changed from suck to blow, anyway…
