No country would tolerate missiles raining down on its civilians. Not a one. And so: YEMEN IS INVADING AMERICA. Military Officer: We only want to stop their drones. SELF-DEFENSE! News Anchor: Well, jeez, the shelling of towns across the U.S. is killing mostly civilians. Soldier: Sad. But like they voted for this government. PITTSBURG

Good point. But the hypocrisy high-lighted is lost on most.

(If only Bush, jr had been President in ‘41, the US would have not attacked our BFF the Japanese, but the real villains who perpetrated the attack on Pearl Harbor: the Thais.)
Okay. That was just funny.

The cartoonist raises a good point I hadn’t considered. I’ll have to look up the whole Yemen situation again. Thanks for that.

This is a silly cartoon.1. We obtained Yemen’s permission to conduct drone strikes. Hamas attacked Israel as an act of naked aggression, consistent with its stated purpose of wiping Israel off the map.2. Our drone strikes are directed against specific terrorists, with care taken to minimize collateral casualties. Hamas has launched rockets and made other attacks on civilians (indeed, misfiring rockets have killed quite a few of its own civilians and it does not care except as it can attempt to blame the deaths on Israel).3. The United States does not hide its military installations within civilian centers and it would be relatively easy for an aggressor to fight our soldiers without attacking civilian areas. Hamas deliberately surrounds itself with civilians: one of its headquarters is located in a hospital and it has hidden stores of rockets in at least three school buildings.-I’m struggling to decide if this cartoon represents ignorance or mendacity.

Gaza and US, we have a lot more in common than we think. We both elected incompetent leaderships hellbent on destruction of our countries.
