Grated cheese works just as well.
Too much like my family situation, where my passive-aggressive mother would use me to upset my dad so she wouldn’t have to do it herself. When they divorced, I felt it was my fault for not knowing any better to resist my mother’s tactics.
Depending on what it is, it could be grated cheese or ketchup, sometimes even hot sauce to fix it. Other times, it takes the dog under the table…
