Your false dichotomy is false Dan.When “pro-lifers” start forcing their politicians to start voting to end the death penalty and start supporting people that are alive rather than just the unborn then you can start calling yourselves that. As it is the pols that support ending a woman’s right to choose are the ones that don’t believe in helping children who have already been born. Unless tax cuts for the top 1% is helpful to poor children…. which it’s not.
This strip is so sad, so sick, because it implies that the authors think that the abnormal end (or disappearance) of a pregnancy is a good thing. In fact, there is no greater gift that God could give a father than his child(ren). I’ll just refute your first error: The first thing that you said was a “red herring” — i.e., about the death penalty. The truth is that, even if all pro-lifers were against the death penalty, you would STILL be pro-abortion! That is why you are trying to deceive people here by bringing this irrelevant subject into the discussion. I, along with millions of pro-lifers — include some people in Congress — oppose the use of the death penalty … although it is applied, almost 100% of the time, against guilty people who have a chance to defend themselves (unlike the victims of abortion, who are 100% innocent and have no chance to defend themselves). One can be “pro-life” and yet be in favor of a just use of capital punishment, because “pro-life” is shorthand for “in favor of innocent human beings’ lives.” Sadly, you’ve never thought these things through, because you are just blindly parroting folks who have taught you wrong things.
