DrCanuck, I agree with you. But I have a question. Why does the rest of the world follow U.S. politics so intently? Or is it just that I’m in the middle of the forest? (I do sincerely hope the answer is not that the rest of the world is afraid we’ll invade them.)
A more interesting thought? While Bush/Cheney were “leading the free world” into wars, China was going into many growing economies, asking them what THEY wanted, and providing it. Maybe we need to ask about leading the whole world, and not just our “old” allies?
Republicans could do well to read Fareed Zacharia’s book on why America is not as much losing, as other countries are gaining, and we should prepare for THAT world, not the conservatism of sticking with the past.
A termination notice will be forthcoming around about November of 2012. It will be signed by the American Voter and the cause of termination will be P*ss Poor Performance.
Maybe we should just junk the current system with another one … The one we have is no longer working, Socialism is unpopular (apparently), Monarchy is fun if you’re one of the Ruling Class, Dictatorship on the Right or Left is still Dictatorship … Anarchy? No … .
Maybe we should keep the existing system after all. Even if it’s broken, The only thing in it’s favor is that it’s light-years better than anything else.
Let’s fix it. Term limits. TRUE multiparty elections, Instant Runoff Elections, COMPROMISE, RESPONSIBILITY to everyone, not just “special Interests,”

BTW, back to the toon, folks keep forgetting that Supreme Court Justices CAN be impeached- their appointments are “while on good behavior”- not for “life”.

Mr Obama has also expressed his dismay, yet instead of supporting him, you support the Republicans who regard the decision as the best thing since sliced bread (personally, I prefer to slice my own, but that’s another matter). You claim to despise what you refer to as the «Girly Government» but admire Ms Palin, who presumably is a woman, and would like to see her as US president, while you hate - you say - the Taliban, who seem to share your atttitude towards women. You claim that Christianity is love and that you are a Christian, but your comments on this forum would seem to indicate a far greater intimacy with feelings of hatred than of love. Are you sure you’re in complete control when you post here ?…
