Interesting commentary in the latest Sports Illustrated, showing that the NBA knew what kind of person Mr. Sterling is well before this incident. Curious that it took a new commissioner to act on it.
Still, although I don’t agree with Mr. Sterling, I don’t agree with how this particular incident has been handled. He is allowed to express his private thoughts in private. And it’s not like he burned a cross on someone’s yard. People may have urges, but it is not illegal until those urges are acted upon.
Sterling is too stupid to care for the people who fuel a franchise worth several hundred million dollars. He didn’t give these guys a anything. They earned every dime.
