The only regulation needed is to separate the last mile from the content production. That cable into the home gives the big cable companies a monopoly and that needs to change.
Comcast is universally hated by their customers. I know because I am one of them. They keep charging rent on a Moto cable box that is 15 years old and paid for many times over. Every January they raise the price.
I guess on the plus side they are losing customers because they are pricing themselves out of the market. On the negative side, they will try to control the Internet so the upstart Internet companies will be kept in their place.

I got rid of all kinds of cable TV a little over three years ago. I find MORE than enough to watch for FREE with the 19 channels I get over the air.
