Well, i guess that solves the slug infestation problem.

Indeed, I do believe you are supposed to toss the salt over your left shoulder, but in this case the right would have been luckier (at least for the slugs). Who knew slugs were into formal dining alongside the humans?

Fast as salt does slugs in, water won’t help.

If the devil waits over your left, is an angel over the right? I could never remember which shoulder to throw it over, so I threw it over both…oops.

One wrinkle to the superstition was tossing the salt over your left shoulder would blind/distract the devil and prevent bad luck.

I thought you were supposed to pick up the spilled salt with your fingers and throw it, not sprinkle more from the shaker.
