It seems there are no two people who agree on anything anymore, and civility is dead.

The movie has only made one billion dollars. Someone likes it, they really like it.

If by “plundering nature” you mean converting raw materials into the things humans need to survive, then that’s what distinguishes us from the animals who must adapt to their environments or perish.

If by “killing indigenous folks” you mean subduing marauding warriors (like the one that killed Lincoln’s grandfather in front of Lincoln’s father), then that was a necessary part of bringing civilization to the New World.

(But I make no excuses for the racism that caused whites to turn against even peaceful Indians. That, like slavery, was a vestige of the Old World that should have been left behind.)

Bringing civilization to the NEW world? Well, there were already civilizations here unless we can only count Europeans as civilized. Oh yeah must kill as many Indigenous people as we can so we can chop down all the trees and build our Walmarts. One person’s marauder is another’s freedom fighter fighting to protect his nation’s border. And when did this comic mention India? Just wondering because we mentioned “peaceful Indians”. Wow, such a one sided view of history.
