My favorite IRS movies…^Harry’s War http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082503/^The Mating Game http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053054/^In the 70’s, Parade magazine, the insert in many of our Sunday papers, had a story with many pictures about how IRS agents ‘collect’ on people who don’t pay taxes. The image of a woman being dragged from her car after it was unlocked burned into my young mind as a severe injustice.^It is my understanding the IRS agent who set the parameters used considers himself to be a conservative; that he used similar words in investigating liberal groups as well as conservative; that he was dealing with a record number of new applications for this new status; and that he has apologized for using this ‘tool’ and has ceased using it.Am I missing something? Has new information been presented? LInks? ^The “Despicable Me” in this fiasco seems more likely to be those who would rather find ways to enflame their base rather than seek civil and respectful ways to prevent these events in the future and move on to other issues much more urgently pressing our nation.Respectfully,C.

-Emerge America,- a liberal group that trains female Democratic candidates, lost its tax-exempt status last year.
No “Tea Party” group did.
