@ Radish – he had that ear piece telling him when the channels were looking at the room during applause. ;) That’s how I’d do it. “NOW SIR…SIP!!” However, I can’t recall ever seeing a President drink from the podium.@ ConservGov – While the President’s ‘facts’ were nuanced and based on conditions he failed to mention, he also didn’t tell any outright lies, other than to say the state of our union is strong. We are too divided into separate tribes of “Dumbdems” and “Ruthlessrepubs” to be a strong and United people. Geo. Washington warned us of this.We need conservatives in government, but we also need liberals. A diverse people need a diverse government. More than anything, we need respectful moderates willing to talk with one another so we can move forward on those issues where we have agreement. In an old Twilight Zone episode, Shelley Berman plays a curmudgeon who wishes everyone was just like him. He ends up not liking the results. I’m not sure you would really enjoy the world you say you want either. It doesn’t sound very friendly the way you’ve presented it in your writings.Respectfully,C.
