I saw Eric Cantnor, R-Va, shake hands with Mr. Obama and smile as he presented the President with an inaugural gift during the breakfast in Statuary Hall. They were polite, even friendly.I have heard many calls for Mr. Obama to make a greater effort to reach out to the legislation and I would like to add my voice to theirs. Our best Presidents have been men who invited their opponents to the White House and Camp David for dinner, drinks, and conversation. Even if nothing is resolved, it is incumbent on the President to at least show the American People he is making every possible effort to try. Staying in the White House and only talking to media and aides will not build bridges or create jobs. I hope Mr. Obama conducts his second term with a greater visible effort than the first.Respectfully,C.
The deficit is the unbudgeted money Bush used in Iraq coming home to roost. No ones has any idea how much money Bush & Co. wasted in Iraq. Hell, they lost one billion dollars in currency loaded on pallets in Baghdad alone.
