Talk about reaching. The incumbent prez got less votes than 4 years ago and the Dems in Congress ain’t exactly popular either.

For whatever it is worth, we ARE going over the Fiscal cliff. And most pols show that even more Americans than voted for President Obama are going to blame the Republicans in Congress for whatever damage that is going to cause to the American economy.

NOT a good thing for the Republican Party in 2014!!!

If their actions (or rather, lack of action) on the fiscal cliff aren’t enough, their insistence on ramming guns everywhere they don’t belong will cause even more defections.

The GOP has gone even more cuckoo since the big drubbing they took in November. Attacking Susan Rice, failing to even vote for their own budget plan, even when they knew it couldn’t pass real-world acceptance. The president’s approval rating is up to 56%, the Republicans is falling to the bottom. Maybe if they hadn’t gerrymandered so that they could rule even as a majority of voters voted them out they would have learned the lesson better than they do. Even Republicans are referring to them as the inmates of the asylum, as “chuckleheads.” It’s really too bad that they have the power to bring down the country, as they really don’t see anything wrong with doing just that.

It’s the graveyard of self-inflicted wounds, and some in the population are finally realizing that Rush and Boehner are equally sharing a load, and the people are finally realizing they don’t have enough, or big enough, shovels to carry that load away.

THe extreme rightwing wackos just blew it for Boener. I feel a little sorry for him. I wish the extremists would go make the tea party a legit party and let the GOP get some stuff done.

“The GOP symbol should be the mastodon, they would rather die than evolve.”

Where do you get your information? A mammoth creature similar to an elephant “chose” not to evolve? Really Radish, cute analogy but very inaccurate.

“Howsie ONLY posts short derogatory comments.”

Interesting thought! Wouldn’t it be novel if we focused on logic and information outside of opinion? Of course that would probably lead to a level of civility boring to many who post these boards…

Ansonia, You constantly criticize those who criticize HOWGOIT, probably because you share HOWGOZT’s political philosophy. But like I have said before, check his posts; he engages in nothing but name calling. He does not back up his statements with facts or statistics. As for King of Me, how has he lowered himself to HOWGOZIT’s level by making an honest and accurate criticism?

That is what I thought was how you pronounced his name. I giggled all day after reading the papers, untill the news came on and it was pronounced “Baynur”
