Oohh, some wisdom from Marigold — not very tactful, but it’s honest (and unicorns aren’t noted for tact). The idea of a unicorn in beatnik duds is a hoot! I especially love the way Marigold wears her beret.

Beatnik Marigold looks so cool, I especially like the choice of horn thru hat rather than having it jauntily perched at the back of head :)

Marigold’s outfit looks just like Rarity’s outfit in Becoming Popular on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Of course she plays drums. Rhythm and beat come naturally to equines. They have four, three and two beat gaits. They also know the truth when they see it. Your body language always gives you away. Phoebe still has to learn to improvise, thats what sets the true musicians apart from simple instrumentalists.

I loved Beethoven’s 3rd by that age. If I had known the Leonore Overture #3, it probably would have blown me away altogether.

If I recall correctly, that’s a Dobie Gillis reference, correct?

PHE’s invisible parents need to enforce practicing until she’s past the first shock of music being hard work. When you have the choice of work or play almost everyone chooses play over playing.

“Three Chords and the Truth” sounds like the philosophy behind every Christian pop song.
