I jog all the time. And run some marathons or half marathons. I don’t get any kind of high. But I do notice that when I skip exercise I never seem to have as much energy and my mood isn’t as good.

be fun when 20 years from now all that pounding on their joints from the impact of running hobbles them and wipes the smug off their faces like the football heroes who have head trauma from the past games. enjoy but a bill will come due. Ha! ;-)

@PaulTime is going to catch up with each of us. I guess, sore joint from too much activity trumps sore joints from all of the sitting on the couch watching T.V., for me.Good to see that you aren’t bitter about not being athletic, and are gracious enough to not revel in somebody else’s misfortune.Keep up the good work buddy.

Just learning how to deal with plain is a gift that most don’t receive. Almost guarantee that it will come in handy some time.

I don’t know what the big deal is, when did only doing half of something become some sort of accomplishment? I’m thinking of those 13.1 stickers I see on cars all the time. I did 20 mile ruck marches in the army in BDU and boots while carrying a 50 lb pack! 13.1 miles is nothing. Save the bragging for when you actually finish something.

Our generation is the entitlement generation. I guess if you can wangle new knees or hips, ok, but if I don’t want to need them, I quit pounding my body (NOT quit exercising).

In my seventies am now forbidden the gym and that in spite of the jogging, biking, martial arts, etc…all done all my life until recently…I’ve had to get really creative to get any exercise at all….friends, my energy level sucks. And I’m ‘running’ a political campaign, local…at least walking and knocking those doors gets me off my keister. sitting around directing people can get to be a fat man’s hobby unless I sometimes lead by example.

I promise to aim to get backon the bike some and more martial arts practice…the old’man gung fu moves….
