   I agree that what’s happening to the Palestinians in Gaza is horrible.

   But I haven’t seen anyone offer a better idea for getting rid of Hamas.

   Israel tried to stop it with the 1993 Oslo Accords. The Palestinian extremist groups vowed to destroy the peace process.

   Israel tried again in 2005 with a complete withdrawal from Gaza. The Palestinians had the chance to build a peaceful, self-governing community. Instead, Hamas took over and declared never-ending war.

   After the Oct. 7th massacre is the wrong time to expect Israel to take the high road and “stop it”.
