Class of 68, we had a set of Funk and Wagnalls. Every year they sent the yearly update volume. Thought it was great that I had this at the house. Little did I know how that would change in the future. Now we have the world in our pockets.
I’m sorry. My Grandfather died 45 years ago, and there’s not a day that i don’t think about him. Your situation sounds like my late wife’s family. After we got married (they were not at the wedding), all they said was it wouldn’t last. Well, we got 47 years together and her brother and sister have been married and divorced 3 times each. You’ve got to live your own life and not worry about pleasing others. If your grandad was anything like mine, I’m positive he had nothing but good thoughts about you and most likely understood the situation you were in.
This song will always have special meaning for me. My first fiance gave me the 45 of this for Christmas the year it came out. Sadly, she passed away 3 months later at 22. 52 years later it still gets to me when I hear it.
