    At least you won’t be blacklisted for saying “master,” as black- and white- lists have been banned. About a year ago, I saw a software release in which the only change was changing all the variable names for blacklist and whitelist to other names.

    I’ve always maintained that, while Andy Capp and others broke the fourth wall, Pastis appearing in his own strip breaks a fifth wall. Quite fitting — the fifth wall — for today’s comic.

    @Phobos Yup. Indeed, the main motivation of the Founders was to provide the people — that’s us deplorables — the ability to rebel against an unjust government. Needless to say, power-hungry elites fear an armed populace. They want the only armed people to be their tax-supported body guards.

    In panel 7, the 60 degree slope of hill seemed to get more, uh, phallic.
