I’ve read this strip for many years and it’s one of my faves, but…I really do not get why so many people take it so seriously. It’s just a comic strip.
I agree. Voting should be mandatory unless you want to pay a penalty. I believe that’s the Aussie system. And every voter must cast a paper ballot! Machine count if we must, but we need a real paper trail for recounts.
Oh, I don’t know. One of the best day labor gigs I ever had it during my misspent youth was picking up dumpsters of that very stuff at a racetrack. It didn’t last long because I was a temp, and the job was so desirable that the regular truck driver demanded a kickback if I wanted to continue. I’m a farm boy and let me tell you, once you have cleaned up behind pigs, you have a better sense of perspective about animal excrement.
Excuse me, but saying he’s not my president and never will be is not the same thing as attempting to overthrow the government of the United States of America. How does it not meet the standards for insurrection? We started out with sedition from the president of the United States himself continued with further sedition from senators and elected representatives, and it culminated in treason. It was an attempted coup, and only one side did it.
