   I loved Rebecca growing up. It was my first “adult novel.” I got my first copy in 6th grade and went through the Rebecca of Sunnnybrook Farm thing with my friends too. Of course back then it was a paperback and by the time I graduated from High School I was on my third copy. I finally got a used hardcover edition at a book fair that didn’t fall apart. I love books of all kinds but Rebecca has always been my favorite book to reread on a regular basis.

   I use a mix but add extra grated carrots, cinnamon, raisins and nuts to it.

   They were Lightning Bugs when I was growing up but now it seems that both are common usage. And while I grew in the city with “You all”, in the rural parts of Missouri that I’m familiar with “Y’all” is normal which put me in good standing the couple of years I lived in Alabama. I still say “Y’all.”

   l I don’t use Hobby Lobby very often but the closest Jo-Ann’s is farther away and sometimes Michael’s doesn’t have what I need.

   Oh, woman, I understand completely. Between the books, yarn, fabric and jewelry making supplies there’s barely room to walk in my living room, dining room and sewing/computer room. And then there’s the excess yarn in the guest room but at least it’s out of my way. Remember, “She who dies with the most crafting supplies wins.” Keep me away from Hobby Lobby and Michael’s Crafts!

   Just about every restaurant and grocery with a deli here serves corned beef and cabbage for St Pat’s Day. The problem is they frequently run out early in the day. I went to a grocery that opens their hot bar at 11:00 and by 1:00 they were already sold out for the day. The deli side was sold out of both corned beef and Swiss cheese so I couldn’t even get a Reuben sandwich. Last year the local meat market ran out even earlier and they promised to double or triple this year’s supply. Lucky for me they hadn’t run out yet so I did get my corned beef this year. A single dinner is large enough that I will get 3 or 4 meals out of it. I definitely see a sandwich and hash in my future. Gotta love leftovers.

    I’m glad you all not only found all 8 lava lamps but also told the rest of us where to find the red one. It was driving me crazy(a very short trip) only finding 7 of them. And I seriously need that “Bless this Mess” sign.
