Elly is a fan of an animated cartoon from the 1980s? Which Snork is her favorite? All-Star?

Has the dog’s passing been accepted, or are we going to be seeing comments eulogizing Farley for the remainder of this strip’s run?

I see no mention of Farley today. (Maybe there is one or two). I am thankful that we can put the dog to rest.

Reminds me of The Wizard of Id

    King hears tinkling

King: This is disgraceful. Bring the priest to me.

Priest is brought before court. King gives the priest a bag of money

Priest: Why thank you! What can we do for your generosity?

King: Get yourself a new church bell.

    Priest: Indeed.

    Tinkling is heard again

Priest: There is the ice cream man. May I thank you by treating you to an ice cream cone, Your Majesty?

Highly unlikely. The Enjos apparently have more money than the Pattersons. Brian and Dawn are superior to Michael and Elizabeth; academically.

Reminds me of an episode of ALF where the family cat died of old age. ALF was conflicted versus eating the cat’s remains versus respecting his host family.

Ironically, during the strip’s run Chris Farley’s life ended.

To end on some good news

    South Korea outlawed dog farms.

Ironically, Chris Farley killed himself within the strip’s run.

Hitler believed in the supremacy of the state over the individual, as did Stalin, Mussolini, Roosevelt and Hirohito. Under Hitler’s regime, Germany had universal healthcare, social security, public school, zero-tolerance gun control and food stamps. Hitler thought about the big picture and greater good in his statement “the public weal before the private gain”.

    Or this for a strip…

Airport. Pattersons say their last goodbyes to Carrie Patterson

    Elizabeth: Where is April?

    Elly: Not again!

April is seen at the gate, holding Carrie’s hand

April: Bye! I am going to live with Gramma forever! I will write.

    John: APRIL!!! Get back here!

John has his hand firmly on April’s wrist as Pattersons depart airport

Elly: Missed your chance. We could’ve bought her a ticket.

    John: Dear!
