    I devoured the first “book” of Endtown and then bought the actual book… sad those characters aren’t in book two. Haven’t gotten further yet.

    My sisters and I were all very blonde as kids – the older sis turned darker quickly, I went from blonde to strawberry blonde to a darker blonde that I felt was kinda mousy and uninteresting, and the youngest stayed blonde.

    Not downplaying creativity of Crabgrass, but I have to say the Simpsons do do this too – sometimes it’s mimicking real life and could be live action, and other times they really take advantage of animation to play around creatively, including of course their Halloween specials.

    Around the time this comic was published we put out a 80s tv on the curb with a sign Almost Dead and it was taken! Then our other old tv died a month later and even with a sign saying Dead it was taken too!

    Your hilarious reaction reminds me of the great Cathy strip where she’s blithering inanely into Irving’s phone machine and her final panel she’s leaving with a toolbox saying she now has to break into his apartment and destroy his phone machine…

    I was so happy that my beloved boy came over during a staff meeting and did his usual licking and nuzzling my face. My boss got a huge smile on her face. Everyone could commiserate about what I lost when he died. I still ache but that memory and the smile help.
