The point of a crossword puzzle clue isn’t to be right, it’s to give you a clue. It isn’t always grammatically correct, or even literally factual, but as long it gives you a clue then it’s done its job. I know, school teachers and people with multiple degrees may get annoyed, but it’s still acceptable in the crossword puzzle world.
The big question is, do ‘incy wincy’, ‘itsy bitsy’, and ‘eency weensy’, all mean the same thing? I think they all mean something small. ‘Blooming bloody’, I think, is something different, though I’m not exactly sure what, or why it is in a variation of this song. Also, what we refer to as a downspout in America is called a waterspout in other parts of the world. Do these other parts of the world have a name for an offshore whirlwind?
I like “The Connor’s”, too. They found a way to include racial minorities and gender preference and other minorities all in the same family and still make it funny.
