    Interestingly, just last year I was in Riyadh during Founder’s Day in the Boulevard City area. When we left the traffic was so thick that we couldn’t get an Uber in to take us back to the hotel so we walked for several blocks trying to get to where we could get an Uber. Suddenly a shiny new SUV pulled up and offered us a ride. It turned out to be a Saudi diplomat, friends of the Crown Prince, who went well out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.

    A buddy of mine in the Marines went back home on leave and attended an LSU game. After leaving the game he picked up a hitchhiker who pulled a handgun on him and demanded that he take him where he wanted to go. My friend calmly told him, “I already picked you up with the idea that I’ll take you where you need to go, and if you don’t put that firearm away I’m going to shove it up your a$$.” So the guy put it away.

    Way back in the ’80s when I worked there we called it Burger Sling. On the drive thru we would sometimes greet the drivers with, “Welcome to the BK Lounge. May I take your order, please?”

    I still call the other burger joints Mickey Sleaze and Hardly’s.

    Great observation regarding everything being too easy. Good writing is like good music. You have to have some tension that’s resolved in order for it to move well. You need things that aren’t easy to propel a story to the next thing which is resolved but sets up a new tension.

    It depends on when this arc ends. It seems over quick after a few days of fisticuffs but there’s opportunity for more to the story. We could denouement after today or get some additional developments to a greater climax later. In general it’s been much better than what Mike has been writing though there’s still room for improvement.
