I knew a kid who thought God’s name was Art.“Our Father, who is Art, in heaven…”

Or maybe His name is Harold:“Our Father who art in Heaven, Harold be thy name…”

How is “stable family life” NOT at least sort-of a “parenting skill”?

On the original website, you can get one last entertaining second punchline in the image text by hovering over the comic. Where is THAT here on GoComics?

@Alabama_Al — So if people want to vote but don’t because it’s too much work to go get an ID card, that’s Jim Crow? No, that’s just apathy. Their forebears faced lynchings, dogs, eviction, beatings, and other organized forms of persecution. They face…. the line at the DMV! The horror!

Calling ID requirements “Jim Crow” is an insult to those who faced the real apartheid of Jim Crow fifty years ago. Read this to see what REAL Jim Crow was: http://www.crmvet.org/info/lithome.htm

My kids go to what is supposedly the best (public) elementary school in the best county in the best state (school-wise) in the country. Last year my son’s teacher was told by the reading resource teacher that she was allowing his reading group to read books that were too advanced, and she needed to put them back on grade level.

My four-year-old daughter (in preschool) can already read (with comprehension, thank you) the HIGHEST books they ALLOW kindergarteners to read.

I get depressed when I think about our school systems.
