The more you polarize and fail to listen to your fellow citizens the greater the divide we make in this country. I’m seeing a disturbing trend that anyone who doesn’t agree with me is either a crazy Communist or a reactionary Nazi. There is no longer any common ground or grey area. How far do you want to go with this?
If we followed Australian gun laws it would basically take away the ability for me to defend myself, since culture is a factor on making those laws work. The genie is out of the bottle. There are scores of criminals who have absolutely no intent to hand over their guns. Illegal or not. I’m a minimum of 10 minutes away from any police response and where I live isn’t conducive towards running away from anyone trying to cause me harm. Until you can satisfactory answer the question of how I’m to efficiently defend myself from one or multiple armed attackers, I’ll keep my firearms.

Actually,no. They haven’t forgotten. Among my Centrists and Republican friends I’m starting to hear mutterings. Only the hardcore Trumpians are saying everything is A-OK.
No Jen, it’s still Identity Politics, because the politics being complained about having nothing to do with your inserted substitutions.
