Look at the numbers of above the actual phones. Are they in order?

Thanks for the tribute to Al Jaffee.

On a sad note, very sorry to read of the passing of Al Jaffee in today’s news. For me “Snappy comebacks” and his “Fold-In” were a big part of my enjoyment of Mad Magazine. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/10/arts/al-jaffee-dead.html?nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20230411 Thank you Lennie for helping us to remember Al on his 100th birthday.

I was at work in Houston, TX. The news filtered in and we quickly commandeered the only TV in the office. We watched in horror as the second plane hit the second tower. There were gasps and then silence. Then news came in about a plane that skidded into the Pentagon. A women on our team broke down crying as her boyfriend was working there. (He survived unhurt.) Four of our co-worker were in the World Trade Center that day while making a presentation to a client. They all were killed. (Some might say “murdered”.) After an hour or so we all went home to hug our families.

A reference to, what would have been Charles Schultz’s 100th birthday would have been better.

    Me either.

Delbert ha released 30 CDs, not including compilation CDs. Won four Grammy awards. Is reported to have given tutorials to John Lennon on playing the harmonica. Four of his CDs have been number 1 on the Blues chart, and another reached number 2. So yes, there is always room for Delbert McClinton. In fact I will go listen to one or two of his CDs now.

This is the first I found out that Nate’s mother is alive, lives “2 thousands miles away”, and apparently wants nothing to do with Nate or Ellen. Was more about Nate’s mother revealed in the strips earlier days?
