Just what I was thinking. That isn’t for TJ to know if Brad doesn’t know yet.

As time goes on, over the years Luann keeps getting more and more clueless and marginalized in the strip that bears her name. She has become really dumbed-down. I for one would like to see some glimmers of intelligence and insight from her from time to time. Please?

A dramatic incident like that can make it easy to tell when that line has been crossed. Often it’s more subtle and harder to discern. And sorry about your dad.

I’m kind of appalled at the lack of compassion for Piro. Did any of you read the panel which describes what he’s dealing with right now (and on an ongoing basis)? I’m not sure I could deal with all that in a constructive way—and he TRIED to deal with it in a constructive way by visiting Bernice…but she can’t supply what he needs, namely, an ear. All she can offer is a mouth which delivers the formulaic “fixes” she has for people in her head. Despite the existence of the expression, very few people can “pull themselves up by their bootstraps.”

Wow, tough crowd. I for one found it charming, and more than appropriate for Armstrong to cite a family member of which he is proud. I got a kick out of it and actually thought well of Armstrong to do this.

There are places in Chicago which will refuse to put ketchup on a hot dog. You have to put it on yourself. Personally, I cannot imagine ketchup on a hot dog.
