That’s actually a really good question for Archistoteles. Out of the blue, he made a post on a comment that I made eight years ago. I have no idea what caused him to do so. I’m as much in the dark as you are. And I’m also in the dark as to why you’re commenting on a post that I made eight years ago. How in the world did you see this? I got a notice that Archistoteles had made a comment on my comment.

What in the world makes you thing that I was “indoctrinated” to believe that the universe was created by a deity?

Can you tell me the cause of the beginning of the universe? Please don’t say big bang, because that is a description of the beginning, but not the cause of it’s beginning.

Can you give me your definition of “religious moron?” What makes a person a “religious moron?”

My friend, Christianity is rooted in history. Go ahead. Look at ALL the evidence. Try to prove it wrong. Others have. Have the intellectual curiosity and tenacity to follow the evidence where it leads.

I’d like to know which of my views you think are in contradiction with “well-established scientific facts” especially since my Ph.D. is in biology. And, to say that Christianity, rooted as it is in history, is “myths” is laughable says nothing about Christianity, but a lot about you.

Except that’s not what it says or means… Man’s rebellion separates him from God who is angry at sin. Jesus’ entry into this world was for his sacrificial death for his people. THAT is the peace that men have with God when they agree with him about the reality of their condition. And they are to have peace with fellow believers. However, the world will hate them as the comments below will demonstrate.

Nope. Only one can forgive our sin nature.

Someone wrote, “Stopping the killing and rape of others, endangering yourself to warn your tribe of impending danger, equal sharing, protecting the weak and young, respecting your elders, and so forth are not limited to just humans. So where does this “objective morality” come from, if not social norms?”

This person does not understand what I have written. In subjective morality, The subject determines if the action is morally correct or not. In objective morality, the action itself is right or wrong. This person has written about subjective morality and has mistakenly thought that they are objective. But they are not. And, as I started with, on atheism, there is not grounding for objective moral ethics. This person is just giving their “preference.” But these actions are not inherently wrong on atheism.
