Ah, you know, I saw Melvwyn and the Lord of Ducks opening for Flint Eastwood. Great concert, always regretted not getting the t-shirt at the merch table.
And the joke within the joke is that the golf term ‘bogey’ comes from comparing your score to that of an imaginary, reference ‘bogus’ opponent. In the late 19th century it was the score you’d expect an average player to make on the hole, that is, par.
As equipment and technique improved the average player got a little better. So the bogey score ended up being one over par.
Ah, Gizmo sounds like my in-laws’ cat, who’s tiny and very curious about the rabbit that they sometimes pet-sit for us. They also have a small Jack-Chi who really wants to play with the rabbit who does not have an interest in playing back.
Good chance, though not certain; ours is only about a 13-pounder, small for a Flemish Giant. (We don’t know his history, although he’s got an ear tattoo which makes us think he was probably a 4H breeding project.)
Thank you; love your laugh! This is actually a vintage icon from some circa-2000 version of King Features’s web site when they only a page about Popeye, no comics, but downloadable icons and wallpaper and such.
