Speaking of foxes, I recently learned that the pupils of their eyes are vertical slits, similar to cats’ eyes. I was glad to have an explanation for why foxes always looked “mean” and a little uncanny to me but embarrassed to have gotten to this ripe old age without ever knowing the reason.
I was thinking that the joke is that the canoe sorta looks like a boomerang – a really big one, the kind that only a rich guy in Australia could (or would want to) buy.
Yeah, I probably overstated it because angry. But as others have noted, there are red flags everywhere about this situation. And if Nicole is reaching out to others instead of talking with her own husband…I don’t really trust that she feels like she CAN talk to him about it. Which feels a lot like pressure to me.
This arc is making me angry. Why in h3ll didn’t they talk about this – and agree about this – a long time ago? Marcus putting this kind of pressure on Nicole for something this big is downright abusive.
I thought maybe “kill two rats with one stick” was the literal English translation of the German idiom, but the German idiom seems to be “kill two flies with one swat” (“zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe schlagen”), so I’ve learned something new and also remain confused as to where the rats and the stick came from :D
At least they weren’t surveillance pickles.
