It is so much easier to answer the questions while sitting at home, cool and relaxed in your armchair than when you are under the gun and the time clockin front of hundreds of people. I know!! My kids used to tell me that I should go on either the “wheel…” or "Jeopardy because I used to get a lot of the answers or quotations correct before the contestants would.

Well, many years before that, I tried out for game shows and the set-up was a combination of a number of different game shows. I would think of a good answer and someone ahead of me in the line-up would give it or if everyone was asked a question at the same time, it was sometimes hard to remember and come up with the right answer before the others…

One of the songs we sang at the VA hosp 1so ward this morning… Along with a number of non-Christmassy songs… ‘Big Bad John’, ‘16 tons’ and many others…

I was there for 2 Dr’s appts and I heard the announcement of an “Honor Walk” While I was undergoing a CT scan, so I went over there afterwards to see if one of my friends had passed away. Met up with a number of my fellow patients from when I was in there for 6 mos last year. I then joined in with the Karaoke…

An “Honor Walk” is when a Veteran passes and as the temporary Flagdraped casket is rolled down the hallways, patients who can, stand at attention or sit in their wheelchairs in the doorways of their rooms and salute. Also if they can, they follow in a procession down the hallways and to the bank of elevators which have been held, and follow to the 4th floor mortuary where a little service and prayer is held. We Vets feel that it is appropriate to honor our fellow Vets in their passing.
