That’s also what I did. I had some scrap plywood and bits of lumber. Built a wildly crooked box with a hole in one side and cover it all with scrap carpet. Hidey hole, cat scratcher and perfect place to ambush the pup from. Fuzzball used it for years.

Cats like what they like, hate, fear what they fear and nothing will change their minds but them.

I live in the woods as well but, with the massive population of coyotes, bears and cougars that think dogs look like snacks I don’t let my little ones run loose. Fencing an acre around the house wasn’t that hard and keeps them a lot safer.

Hit up your local shelter and find a support animal there. It’s worked for me on numerous occasions. The benefits are fantastic.

That stuff was around in the US south in 1915, my 5 yr old mother got herself in quite a pickle trying to ask for it at the store. She’d been told the first syllable was a bad word so she asked for "Rumps"afetida. No one in town ever let her live it down.

My friggin’ neighbor put up a new giant security light. Even though we’re country and it’s mostly dark enough to see stars here, nothing’s dark since he put up that gigantic bank of lights.

Saw that around here as well. Funny as heck to watch a dominance struggle between two jack males. Jack rabbits box, with all 4 feet.
