The Ides Of March Ain't So Bad With These Comics
by The GoComics TeamJulius Caesar took a bunch of blades to the belly once upon a time, but ever since his Ides of March assassination, things have been pretty chill (in Rome, anyway). 44 B.C was a long time ago!
Still, thanks to a combo of Shakespeare's timeless bard-liness and high school required reading/skimming on DVD, we've all got "Beware the Ides of March" on the mind every March 15.
History tells us that the Ides of March was significant for a number of Roman calendar reasons, but they're all confusing and involve ritual sacrifice so it's probably best to focus on the positive side... we'll let you know when we find one that didn't almost solely benefit Octavian/Augustus on his rise to power.
Here's funny comics referencing one of western history's key revenge plot pivots!
